High quality education and facilities for the equine industry is at the forefront of North Highland College UHI. Alongside the highly practical horse care and riding elements of our courses, our students are also taught health and safety, business and management, marketing and communication, IT skills, working with others and key enterprise skills. From the stunning highlands of Scotland, our equine students are based at our purpose built Rural Studies Centre alongside our veterinary nursing and gamekeeping students. The centre boasts:
- 20 purpose built loose boxes (available for our student’s horses)
- High spec classrooms
- International sized indoor and outdoor arenas
You will have the opportunity to progress from an NC Horse Care to BA (Hons) Equine Business Management with our specialist equine tutors who are widely known within the equestrian community. Our equine students are encouraged to enter competitions and participate in shows to enhance their practical abilities while also networking with industry professionals. To further endorse our students' academic capabilities and enhance employment prospects we also prepare them for British Horse Society Examinations.
