Moorcroft Equine Rehabilitation Centre
Welcome to Moorcroft Equine Rehabilitation Centre
Moorcroft Equine Rehabilitation Centre in Slinfold, West Sussex, provides both short and long-term schooling and rehabilitation for all breeds of horses, whether as a result of lameness, time-off, or following surgery. The charity, which relies solely on donations, also runs educational courses throughout the year for both horse owners and equine industry professionals, including ridden and long reining courses and equine healing and massage. It is also helping to pioneer a new treatment approach for arthritis and musculoskeletal issues, with the development of a unique, high-potency platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) treatment.
The charity’s Chief Executive, Mary Frances, has more than 40 years’ experience working with horses, the last 19 of which have been at Moorcroft. Under Mary’s leadership, Moorcroft’s entire ethos is based on helping return horses to soundness and enabling them to thrive - often giving them a second chance at life. Mary and her team, which includes a full-time physiotherapist and a specialist lameness vet, is dedicated to enhancing the confidence and understanding of both the rider and the horse with respect and care, with the ultimate goal of having a pain-free horse to ride and enjoy.
Set in over 70 acres of beautiful West Sussex countryside, the centre includes an indoor and outdoor school, a solarium and plenty of well-maintained paddocks to help foster a healing, calm and safe environment for horses.
