The Alltech-Hartpury Student Conference returns to University Centre Hartpury, Gloucester, for a ninth year running on May 8.

Aimed at higher education students, the conference provides an opportunity to experience a scientific conference from writing and submitting an abstract, going through the review and revisions process to delivering a theatre presentation to a conference of student delegates.

The relaxed environment created by students presenting to students, is less intimidating than facing a room full of experts, as will be the case further into their careers.

Oral or poster submissions will be made by undergraduate and postgraduate students representing colleges and universities from across the UK and a number of international institutes.

All topics of interest to equestrian science and the industry will be considered but the conference is particularly encouraging submission on, Equine Behaviour and Welfare, Equine Business Management, Breeding, Genetics and Stud Management, Equine Health and Therapy, Equine Nutrition and Feeding, Rider Performance and Equine performance.

Throughout the day a number of experts will provide inspiring presentations on a range of topics, providing students with an insight into current research and developments within the equine industry.

Alltech will once again provide the prizes for the best oral and poster presentations.

The Lifeforce Range of all-natural, daily digestive aid supplements from Alltech is designed to benefit horses of every stage of life, from breeding stock to pleasure and performance animals.
