Abandoned horse Barry is now fully kitted out thanks to Alltech and its generous support of his rehabilitation.

Barry was found back in February in a terrible state, emaciated and worm burdened and was signed over into the care of World Horse Welfare when his owners couldn’t be traced.

Alltech’s UK Marketing Manager Isla Baker-Browne recently travelled to World Horse Welfares Penny Farm centre in Lancashire to visit Barry and see for herself the progress he has already made.

Courtesy of Alltech, Barry has been provided with a new wardrobe, including a turnout rug to keep him warm and snug next winter, a saddlecloth ready for when he begins his ridden assessment, as well as two cooler rugs, a very smart leather head collar and a full grooming kit to help his coat gleam with his new found health!

Alltech have also kindly supplied Barry’s groom Mandy Davidson, with a fleece gilet and a baseball cap, so when they are out and about together they can proudly display their support from Alltech.

Isla said of her visit: “It was great to get the opportunity to visit Barry and see the progress that he has already made, while in the care of the fantastic team at Penny Farm and to be able to personally deliver his Alltech branded gear.”

“In my role at Alltech I have the privilege of attending some of the biggest and most prestigious equestrian events but I have to admit how much I enjoyed spending a few hours choosing all the items that Barry so deserves.”

Penny Farm Centre Manager, Fran Williamson said: “It was lovely to meet Isla who was very friendly, empathetic and helpful; Barry’s groom, Mandy was particularly pleased with the lovely rugs; head collar and grooming equipment that Alltech have generously provided for Barry, who now looks very smart. World Horse Welfare Penny Farm is very grateful for the support that Alltech are providing for Barry, he is making excellent progress, is putting on weight and beginning to enjoy his new life now that he has a bright future ahead of him.”
