This week sees the launch of the much awaited exhibition Mutiny in Colour, featuring works from some of the world's best known contemporary artists, including Banksy. Whilst the Museum is more known for the likes of Stubbings and Munnings, this juxtapostion of the modern sitting alongside the traditional is an interesting concept and one we hope you will be keen to view.
Opening on 3rd June and running until 1st October, prices are £7 per adult and £3 for over 12s.
Welcome to the new look Hall of Fame
Following the recent induction of Sir Michael Stoute and Sea The Stars into the QIPCO British Champions Series Hall of Fame, the exhibition now has a new home at the Museum.
This exciting and immersive display brings to life inductees’ stories, with displays of artefacts and interactive elements to engage all ages, including the fun opportunity to take a selfie whilst doing a Frankie Dettori-style ‘flying dismount’ from the saddle!
Included in normal admission price, this is a must see exhibition.
New Display for Palace House
Palace House, the flagship of the British Sporting Arts Trust (BSAT), welcomes a new exhibition to its top floor with a re-hung display of Sir Alfred Munnings works along with paintings by John Skeaping. There are now four galleries dedicated to 20th century sporting art housed within King Charles II's palace.
Do come and admire this impressive collection.
