The horse trials takes place in the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, and features both the prestigious British championship for eight- and nine-year-old horses and one of Europe’s most highly regarded CCI4*-L competitions. In addition, there are very well-supported classes for amateur riders and a host of other activities, attractions and entertainments.

Visitors to SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials this year will notice considerable improvements to the layout of the event, with a new route for spectators that takes them closer to the Palace than ever before. The Food Walk, which proved a great success last year, has been upgraded again and will feature even more stalls offering delicious, locally-produced food. The popular Children’s Entertainment area has been re-sited closer to the main event hub, next to the Food Court area.

SsangYong Blenheim Palace hosts two days of exciting cross-country action, and for the first time for several years the cross-country course will run through the main Marlborough Arena. There will be a big screen in the main arena as well, meaning that spectators who buy Grandstand tickets for Saturday and Sunday (21st and 22nd September) have the perfect seated spot from which to watch the day’s action.

Adult admission to the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials starts at £15 when booked online.

Event Director Mandy Hervieu said: “We’re really looking forward to this year’s event. The generosity of SsangYong and our other sponsors means that we are able to invest in enhancing the whole experience of SsangYong Blenheim Palace for our visitors – and we have some exciting plans for new classes and attractions, which we will reveal soon.”

As well as the sporting action, SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials features excellent, carefully selected, shopping opportunities. There is a full and varied programme in the Attractions Arena on Saturday and Sunday, superb children’s entertainment and great food, ranging from outlets offering locally produced to a range of dining packages.
