Throughout May there is a host of fascinating webinars hosted by the team at HorseTribe.

On Thursday 12th May at 7.30pm - Kathryn Nankervis will look at Busting the Myths of Horse Fitness

Whether you have a fun summer of hacking and fun rides planned, or are aiming for a big competition series, ensuring your horse is fit enough for the job is essential for preventing injury and keeping him sound and happy. In this webinar, fitness expert Kathryn Nankervis explores the facts and myths of fitness training.

In the webinar, Kathryn will answer questions such as:

  •  What’s the safest and most effective way of getting a horse fit?
  •  Where do you start with fitness training
  •  How long does it take to get your horse fit?
  • What is fit enough for a fun ride versus fit enough for a one day event?
  • How would you vary your plan to fit your individual circumstances and how do you respond to setbacks?

On Thursday 19th May at 7.30pm – Ray Erasmus will share how to solve any problem with your horse

The Team welcome Big 5 Safari Guide and Horse Trainer, Ray Erasmus to the HorseTribe, who will be joining them LIVE from South Africa. Ray will often ride his horses through the bush where they will see all kinds of wildlife including lions, black rhino and elephants! In this webinar, on Thursday 21st May at 7.30pm (UK time), Ray will cover his ‘principled training’ philosophy and how he works together in partnership with his horses, throughout their training. Ray will share how we can use this philosophy and techniques to solve any problem with our own horses.

Ray will answer the following questions:

  • What are the principles of training that will solve any problem?
  • How does a horse learn & how can you communicate in a way your horse will understand?
