Horse of the Year Show Returns to the NEC – 8th - 12th October 2025
Horse of the Year Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham, from 8th - 12th October 2025, bringing five action-packed days of world-class equestrian sport and entertainment. Whether you are a competitive rider, horse enthusiast, or simply looking for an unforgettable day out, HOYS has something for everyone – thrilling competition, breath-taking displays, family fun, fine dining, and a vibrant shopping village.
This year, three exciting displays will dazzle audiences: British Vaulting rises to the occasion with incredible skill and athleticism; Horse Power Fury delivers an adrenaline-charged spectacle, combining equestrian talent with jaw-dropping motorbike stunts; and the charming Dog and Pony Show delights audiences of all ages.

In addition HOYS has introduced an exciting new masterclass to Thursday afternoon with William and Alice Fox-Pitt who will be showcasing two remarkable horses including Chilli Morning IV, the clone of William’s legendary five-star winner Chilli Morning.
The week kicks off with much-loved showing classes, including the Mountain and Moorland sections running Wednesday to Friday. Alongside, the National Showjumping Championships, with the historic Redpost Equestrian Senior Foxhunter Championship a highlight of Thursday evening. Also on Thursday, the Dressage Future Elite Championship will see eight of Britain’s most exciting young horses perform an Intermediate I Freestyle to music.

Friday marks the start of the International Showjumping classes, always a favourite with the crowd, as world-class riders and horses compete for top honours. Keep an eye on the line-up, which promises some of the sport’s biggest names.
The atmosphere intensifies across the weekend. Saturday daytime brings championship classes in both the TopSpec Arena and the Andrews Bowen International Arena. The evening features the fast-paced Osborne Refrigerators Scurry Driving Championship, before the thrills of International Showjumping culminate in the Ripon Select Foods Puissance – where competitors tackle the famous big red wall.
Sunday, known as the “day of champions,” closes the show in spectacular style. The Supreme Products Supreme Horse and Pony of the Year will be crowned, and the Leading Showjumper of the Year will be decided. Fans of the LeMieux Pony Club Mounted Games will see the grand finale, with the Prince Philip Cup awarded to the winning team. The day concludes with a glittering finale celebration, bringing another unforgettable edition of HOYS to a close.
