During this uncertain time many horse and pet owners have bulk bought their feed for the isolation period, leaving a few shelves empty in some retailers.
Also with social distancing, self-isolation and listening to the Government fewer people are understandably not going to work.
These scenarios begged the question, will there be a shortage in animal feed?
The UK’s leading animal feed manufacturer I’Anson Brothers Ltd., has reassured that in this current climate animal and horse feed will be carefully monitored and the company will work hard to minimise shortages.
Will I’Anson, Sales Director for Masham Micronized Feeds, British Horse Feeds & The Golden Paste Company division’s of I’Anson Brother’s Ltd said: “We are working extremely hard to ensure that production of all products continues whilst sticking to the Government guidelines to make sure our staff members and customers are safe.
“Feed ingredients, supplements, animal and horse feed are a necessity and we are working closely with our suppliers and customers constantly planning, reviewing and putting measures in place to keep production going.
“It does come at a time of year when we have seasonally two of our peak production and sales months, so it is additionally challenging.”
British Horse Feeds are the makers of Speedi-Beet and Fibre-Beet - key fibre based products for horses and ponies feed. The Golden Paste Company provides innovative Turmeric supplements for horses, companion animals and human health.
All of these are produced fresh and owners can be assured that the shelf life of these products will last them for a good period of time.
Please do check your products for the shelf life. Only take what you need and we will continue to keep the pipeline supplied.
If your local retailer is closed Speedi-Beet, Fibre-Beet and Cooked Linseed are all available to purchase from sister company The Golden Paste Company’s website.
Will continued: “This is an extremely strange period but I have total faith with the community spirit and that we will all come out of this stronger than ever. Stay safe.”
