Whether you want to learn more about equine behaviour, biomechanics, the art of farriery, physiotherapy know-how or rider mind-set, industry professionals will be on hand at HorseFest 2022.

HorseFest, presented by John Oates Horseboxes, is a fantastic new, weekend festival, designed to celebrate all things horse and takes place July 8 to 10 at Kelsall Hill in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

Justine Harrison is a certified equine behaviour consultant applying the science of behaviour and learning to help you understand and solve horse behaviour problems.

Justine will deliver practical and relatable demonstrations to help owners and riders’ understand their horse’s behaviour and tailor a safe, effective programme for both you and your horse's circumstances. 

Trainer and specialist in equine biomechanics Simon Cocozza will be talking about core conditioning for horses and how to help them develop so that they can work and carry riders effortlessly. Simon has also had excellent results with his core conditioning techniques in the rehabilitation of horses with kissing spine.

He will be doing demonstrations with his own horse and will also use some demonstration horses to show how his techniques work, as well as hosting Q&A sessions.

Award-winning farrier Marc Jerram will be sharing his passion for helping horse owners in the care and maintenance of their horses’ feet and his inspirational experience in corrective farriery. Marc has worked with many owners, helping their horses rehabilitate from many different challenges and will be running interactive sessions to help you answer questions about your horse.

His great interest in corrective farriery led to him taking the Myerscough College foundation degree in farriery science which is an innovative course aimed at new diagnostic technology to assess the balance of the horse's foot. Marc has also undertaken a BSc (Hons) course to further his knowledge and was awarded the Myerscough trophy for outstanding practical and theory grades.

Hayley Marsh is a fully qualified Veterinary Physiotherapy with a BSc in Equine Sports Science, a PgDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy and a diploma in Human Sports Massage (SMA). Hayley works with everything from serious competition horses to happy hackers with the goal of helping them have long and comfortable working lives.

Her fun and inspirational sessions at HorseFest will help horse owners with techniques to keep their horses in good shape and prevent issues happening in the first place, effectively ‘prehabbing’ them.  Join her sessions and ask lots of questions as she demonstrates exercises that owners can do to prehab their horses at home in-between visits from the physio. 

Dr Tracey Cole the UK’s leading equestrian-focused NLP and hypnosis Trainer and Coach is a former research scientist, university lecturer and teacher who, since 2012 has taken her career on a new path to spread the word about the powerful benefits of NLP, NLP Coaching, Create your Future® and Hypnosis.

Her sessions at HorseFest are designed to help horse-owners and riders of all levels combat nerves and ride to the very best of their ability. If you would like to breakthrough your confidence challenges and be more comfortable handling your horse, hacking or competing your horse, then Tracey’s sessions are just what you need. Her goal is to help you develop your belief in yourself and take away some practical and easy to use techniques.
