Competition was hard fought as 26 starters came forward in the National 138cm Championship Final; the penultimate class of the day in Championship Arena 1 at the British Showjumping National Championships 2019.

Out of the eight riders who made it through to the jump off, Tabitha had two of the rides, with the win going to Playboy Van De Zoetewei. The 8 year old bay gelding pulled a stylish double clear out the bag, winning by over two and a half seconds.

Speaking of their win, the 11 year old showjumper from Leicestershire, Tabitha commented: “I don’t overthink, I ride every show the same”. The combination has been in fantastic form of late, also taking the 138 title at Royal International Horse Show last month.

Runner up was Lucy Gilbertson with Airbourne Freddie, with Tia Squibb and Drumaclan Flight in third.
