Veterinary Thermal Imaging (VTI) is delighted to introduce Jennifer Pyke, the latest member of the VTI team, who will be covering Cheshire and the surrounding area.

Jennifer is based on the border of North Wales and Cheshire and has been involved with horses all her life. In 2000, she graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Science. In 2002, Jennifer went to the UAE to manage the Dubai Equestrian Centre before qualifying as an IATA International Pro-flying groom, a qualification that led to a number of years working in bloodstock shipping. Over her career, she’s gained experience in polo, racing, hunting and eventing and is now looking forward to her next step, as a member of the VTI team.

“I’m very excited to be joining the VTI team, bringing this superb technology to the animals in and around Cheshire,” says Jennifer. I’m dedicated to supporting owners, trainers and breeders alike with the technological advancements that veterinary thermography can bring to injury prevention, rehabilitation and diagnosis.”

VTI provides an all species, non-invasive and fully mobile thermal imaging service that maps heat patterns across the animal’s body, highlighting areas of interest in the form of cold spots (showing a reduced blood supply) and hot spots (showing an increase in bloody supply). The images can be used as a diagnostic tool, much like x-rays, but can also be used as part of a management regime or to monitor the efficacy of a treatment.

“We’re thrilled to have Jennifer join the team,” says Helen Morrell, Managing Director of VTI. “Jennifer brings with her a wealth of experience and has been involved with horses for a long time. This hands on experience backed with the knowledge gained through studying for her degree in Equine Science and the training we provide means that Jennifer will quickly become a very valuable member of our team.”

VTI covers the whole of the UK. Prices start from just £30 plus travel, depending on the type of scan required.
