Bizzy Bites a unique teething toy and new generation boredom breaker is about to hit the equine market.
Available to customers from March 2015 this brand new “patent pending” product is a 3 in 1 stable toy designed to give youngsters something to get their teeth into and the grown-ups some amusement in the stable!
Created by Nicola Ramirez, she identified a gap in the market for a teething toy for young horses. A horse owner and mother she saw the parallels between young animals and children of teething age – they all needed to bite or chew something to alleviate the symptoms of teething.
Her unique Bizzy Bites design in a funky pink or aqua shade is a stable toy that has wings to give a mouthing and biting surface for all equines. The Bizzy Bite can be wall mounted on a specially designed (bought separately) bracket that enables the toy to spin around, encouraging interaction. It can also be hung using an everyday lead rope from the attachment on the top of the toy or can be simply placed on the stable floor. The wings are textured providing an interesting surface to play with and chew
While designing the toy it became apparent that this was also going to be a perfect boredom breaker or distraction to prevent stable vices.
Integral to the design is a molasses based edible lick that is inserted into the middle of the toy. The lick which has been devised with the help of nutritionists lasts for days. It is completely natural and made with organic products including molasses, sugar, wheat middlings, salt and chaff based elements to give bulk and fibre. The lick is a hard durable product that can last for weeks rather than hours!
