It is with great regret that the organisers of the exciting new event HorseFest at Weston Park, July 23–25, have made the very difficult decision to cancel the event this year due to the ongoing uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Co-founders Thea Roberts and Heidi Hunter-Cope have assured everyone the event will launch in 2022 with all plans in place for this innovative new festival.

cancel

This decision has not been taken lightly and reflects the fragile nature of the roadmap and the considerable investment required for infrastructure in the run up to the event.  Said Thea: “We are all extremely saddened to have come to this decision however, without a guarantee of being able to run and being unable to insure for COVID related cancellation, it means that it would be too great a risk for us to continue with our plans for this year.”

Continued Heidi: “The reaction to the HorseFest concept has been phenomenal – we are humbled by the response and excitement people have expressed. Please rest assured, we are 100% committed to delivering HorseFest in 2022. Dates are confirmed (22-24 July 2022) and the planning starts now! Our brilliant headliners who were scheduled for this year will be back next year to see everyone.

“We want to take the time to thank everybody who has supported us so far, including our much-valued sponsors, and in particular the wonderful John Oates Horseboxes, our presenting partner. We know events are an integral part of business promotion and awareness, and we will put on the very best event we can next year. We thank you for your understanding this year.

“And to our riders and experts – we know you are all chomping at the bit to get out and about, provide demonstrations and talks, as well as compete, and we cannot wait to see you!”

We would like to encourage anybody who has purchased tickets or accommodation for this year’s event to roll them over and come party with us in 2022. For anyone who would prefer a refund, this can be arranged by logging onto their TicketSellers account (details are on the email sent to ticket holders). Those who have won tickets - these will transfer to next year’s HorseFest automatically.

Said Thea: “We are both extremely passionate about the festival and the HorseFest community and have exciting plans to expand our digital offering, bringing our experts, elite riders and great quality information to horse-lovers through our membership community HorseTribe. We want to bring the horse community together and we still need a big party when we can all reconnect in person next year!”
