The inaugural award, sponsored by the University of Gloucestershire and announced at the very end of June, aims to highlight the people who are driving the future of business in the county. Tara’s recognition represents an incredible achievement given that her company was set up just two and a half years ago and, in that time, has won international clients, expanded to include coaching services and gone limited and VAT registered.

Tara graduated from the Royal Agricultural University in 2013 and first took the step into equestrian journalism exactly four years to the day before the 30 under 30 award was announced on the 27th of June. The step towards PR and social media was a natural one and Tara now has clients from across the United Kingdom as well as in Ireland, Kentucky and Florida, as well as volunteering her PR and social media management services to a racehorse rescue charity.

Tara comments: “I am completely overwhelmed by this announcement! It came on the day I was celebrating 4 official years since I first took the step into my dream equine career. Since then my business has grown beyond anything I could ever have imagined on that day, is now an International, Limited business! It's brilliant to be acknowledged for all the hard work and passion that I’ve poured into my business and I feel so truly humbled to be recognised alongside some amazing Gloucestershire businesspeople!”

From humble beginnings at Tara’s kitchen table in Tetbury working away with her ever-present sidekick, Kiwi the terrier, Tara Punter PR now employs two fellow RAU graduates and delivers PR, social media management and business coaching services to help a wide range of small, medium and large rural and equestrian enterprises grow. Coverage in national industry publications, sold-out product ranges and extraordinary business growth for her clients are all key indicators of the extraordinary success of Tara’s work – here’s to the next few years and seeing where they will lead!
