3 day Theoretical Course  Vienna, Austria, May 7-9 2014

 

Following the success of a recent clinic with Chief Rider of the Spanish Rider School Andreas Hausberger at The Dovecote Stables in Oxfordshire, Equinethos Ltd are pleased to announce that they are collaborating once more and have arranged a one-off three day seminar trip to Austria in May. The trip is suitable for professional riders, trainers and keen amateur riders looking to gain valuable theoretical equestrian experience in a unique and world-renowned setting and under the guidance of a respected classical trainer.

Andreas Hausberger is the First Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, and Director of the Lipizzaner Training Centre at Heldenberg. He entered the SRS in 1984 at age 19, and was promoted to Rider in 1993 and Chief Rider in 2007. He has been the Director of the Lipizzaner Training Centre in Heldenberg since 2012.

 Andreas will accompany participants throughout the three day course, including two days at the Lipizzaner Training Centre in Heldenberg, and one day at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. The total course time spent in seminars will be 9 hours (approx 3 hours per day). In addition to theoretical riding sessions, expertise on the proper seat, correct aids, history of the Spanish Riding School, lunge work and training levels of the stallions are imparted to participants as well as the opportunity to tour the training centre, stables and School with commentary from Andreas.

The cost of the course is €210 per person for 3 days, and an optional morning performance at the Spanish Riding School on May 10th can be booked separately online. Travel and accommodation is to be booked individually, but Equinethos Ltd can supply advice and recommendations, and group transport can be arranged. Numbers are limited, but it is possible to bring non-horsey partners or family as afternoons are free for sightseeing.
