AN idyllic English country wedding is a dream for many couples.
But with the unpredictable British weather one Lancashire couple decided not to take any chances – wearing a pair of wellington boots throughout their special day!
Elena and Rick Lee simply fell in love with Arnside Knott in Lancashire and as soon as they saw the unspoilt woodland they knew it was the perfect place for their wedding.
The wedding location provided plenty of inspiration for the couple who wanted a natural, 'low' key affair for family and friends who would relish and experience the atmosphere of the secluded setting.
Elena and Rick were delighted when approval for their wedding was granted by the landowner who was also thrilled at the idea, and a marquee was set up in the middle of the grassland which has outstanding views from the summit to the Lake District and Morecambe Bay.
Once all the preparations were in place the biggest worry remained the weather and the couple decided to play it 'safe' and be prepared when it came to their footwear.
What could be more practical for the English countryside than a pair of wellies!
