The countdown is on for the 2022 eventing season and the team at BEDE Events are all systems go to welcome trade stands to their 10-strong horse trials calendar.

The season gets underway with the hugely popular Oasby (1) Horse Trials in Lincolnshire, always a great event for blowing off the cobwebs and ensuring a great cross-country run on good going.

Trade stands will be available at all events with a special focus on the three major horse trials of the season, The Eventing Spring Carnival - Thoresby Park - April 1 to 3, Firle Place Country Show and Horse Trials – May 14th & 15th and Osberton International Horse Trials - September 28 to October 2.

The shopping villages at these events are a big part of the occasion with trade stands very busy at Osberton International in 2021 with fantastic business carried out over the four days.

Said Stuart Buntine of BEDE Events: “We were delighted with the success of Osberton International, it really was a great event with more spectators than ever before.

“It was great to see the trade stands so busy and doing good business at the end of the season and we want to make the shopping villages at The Eventing Spring Carnival, Firle Place and Osberton International bigger and better in 2022.

“Shopping and the trade stands are always a part of a visit to any event and we were very pleased with all the support we received at Osberton after such a difficult year for traders.”

Following on from The Eventing Spring Carnival is Firle Place in May.  Held in the South Downs National Park in the village of Firle, Sussex, the Estate is just 60 miles from the centre of London.

Shelford (1) takes place at the end of May at the BEDE Events base in Nottinghamshire and is closely followed by BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) in the middle of June.

New to the BEDE organising team for is Catton Park just a week later in Derbyshire.  This historic estate has held a horse trials over the 250 acre parkland since 1993 but with owners Robin and Katie Neilson retiring, the 2022 horse trials will be managed by the team at BEDE Events, working alongside the Neilson’s son, Oliver.

Aske Horse Trials in North Yorkshire follows in July, held at Aske Hall by kind permission of the Earl and Countess Ronaldshay.

It’s back to Shelford (2) at the end of August before heading to Osberton International which incorporates the British Eventing Young Horse Championships with the season rounding off at Oasby (2) in the middle of October.
