There’s a real treat in store for eventing fans this weekend. Throughout Saturday and Sunday (19th and 20th) H&C+ will be live streaming the cross country and showjumping phases from the Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International Horse Trials. Coverage will feature both the CCI 4* Long and Short, as well as the 8/9 year old championship.

With the event hosting the only 4* Long to be run in the UK this season, it’s no surprise that there’s a truly international and star-studded field. Representing the UK are top riders including World Champion Ros Canter and current world-ranked number one Oliver Townend, along with Piggy March, Gemma Tattersall, Tom McEwen, Laura Collett and Zara Tindall.

International riders taking part include Alex Hua Tian (China), Aoife Clark (Ireland), Sam Griffiths (Australia), Ludwig Svennerstål (Sweden), and Vittoria Panizzon (Italy).

As well as competing, H&C favourite, Simon Grieve, will be on hand behind the scenes conducting interviews for H&C’s social channels, and will bring insight from the riders and organisers throughout the competition.

Jonathan Rippon, Director of Content for H&C commented; “With horse sport still taking place without spectators able to attend we’re delighted to be able to bring such a high quality event as Burnham Market International to our viewers.  Following on from our coverage from Barbury, Wellington and Burgham, and with Pau still to come, we’ve been able to keep the passionate eventing community in touch with the sport they love.”

“We are thrilled to welcome H&C to Burnham Market for this additional event. The 8/9-year-old championship is an important class for competitors and owners with talented stars of the future, and to have the opportunity to run a 4* Long for the first time here is an exciting challenge. Live streaming the jumping phases means that eventing fans around the world have the opportunity to see these great combinations in action – we are really looking forward to it,” said Event Director, Alec Lochore.

The Burnham Market live stream can be viewed worldwide on H&C+. Streaming starts at 9:00am BST on Saturday 19th and 9.45am on Sunday 20th. In addition to the live stream, all of the coverage will be available in full on demand on H&C+ after the event.
