While we welcome the arrival of spring, in many horses it can bring with it an uncomfortable season of the Itchy & Scratchy Show! For sensitive skinned horses, or those prone to Sweet Itch, the emergence of annoying and biting insects coupled with rising temperatures can bring with it an unwelcome Itch Factor. Fortunately, there is a natural way to tackle the Itch naturally and effectively, with Botanica.

Botanica natural skin care products have been protecting equines, canines and humans for over a decade and using a combination of Botanica Natural Cleansing Wash and Botanica Anti Itch Cream will give you an excellent line of defence against dry, flaky skin, itching and Sweet Itch.

Botanica Cleansing Wash is designed to clean, purify and soothe the skin and contains a unique combination of natural herbal ingredients which are blended to make a soothing, natural herbal wash that actually works.

Botanica Anti-Itch Cream contains a concentrated blend of natural herbal ingredients in a water based moisturising cream, which helps soothe and moisturise. Its unique blend of herbal properties means it acts quickly to soothe the affected area, whilst its in-built natural insect deterrent helps to further defend against the insects that cause Sweet Itch.

The Botanica Anti-Itch process is simple and easy. Simply wash the affected area with Botanica Cleansing Wash (diluted 2 capfuls per litre of warm water), making sure the skin is cleaned of any dry or dead skin. Leave the Wash to soak into the skin for 3-5 minutes and do not rinse it off. Apply the Botanica Anti-Itch cream to the affected area, massaging well in. Repeat daily for the first five days and then every second day the following week. Reapply again for one week in mid-July. There should be no need for any rugs or covers. It is imperative that the Botanica Cleansing Wash and the Anti-Itch cream are used in conjunction with each other as they act synergistically for maximum results.
