There will be plenty of Christmas cheers at the December competition with special festive prizes so get your tinsel at the ready.

And the January competition will give all competitors the chance to dust off the cobwebs and get their new year schedule underway.

At each event there are four classes with each designed to be ‘pick a test’ with competitors nominating the test they would like to ride on their entry.  The winners will be decided by percentage marks across the various tests.

Classes are:

Class 1 - BD Introductory B (walk&trot), BE95 (2012), Prelim 7 (2002)

Class 2 - BE108 (2016), Prelim 18 (Q), Nov 24 (2010)

Class 3 - BE Nov 110 (2012), Nov 27, Elem 42

Class 4 - BE Int 118, Nov 30 (Q), Elem 44

The qualifying tests for the Championship Final at Thoresby International Horse Trials on April 3, 2022 will be Prelim 18 in class 2 and Novice 30 in class 4 with the top 30 per cent qualifying.

For competitors attending all the winter series dates they will be eligible to claim a season ticket to Thoresby.

Said Stuart Buntine of BEDE: “It is brilliant to be hosting the Winter Dressage Series once again after our very popular Virtual Dressage Competition earlier in this year.

“It is always a very popular series and we hope offers a class and a test for everyone wanting to get involved and keep their dressage training and competing going through the winter months.

“We are excited to be using the National Racing College for the first time in 2021, which offers the great benefit of an indoor warm up as well as the indoor competition arena so everyone can keep dry whatever the weather.”
