One of the North West’s most popular annual events, the Bolesworth International festival, has today announced an exclusive partnership with national charity, Caudwell Children.

The Bolesworth International festival is held annually in the picturesque grounds of Bolesworth Castle near Chester and attracts over 25,000 people who enjoy a weekend of fairground rides, food, fashion and live music, which all take place around a showpiece International Showjumping competition, attracting some of the world’s best horses and riders.

The exclusive partnership with Caudwell Children is a development between the two organisations who hope to raise awareness of equestrian and disability sports, as well as raising funds to help local disabled children and families.

Event organiser, Nina Barbour, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Caudwell Children again. The event is a real family affair so it seems fitting to be working with a national charity that directly helps children. We have lots of exciting plans to help the charity raise much needed funds and make this year’s event the best ever.”

Caudwell Children Chief Executive, Trudi Beswick, said: “It is a privilege to be working with Nina and the team at Bolesworth; their dedication to helping raise awareness of our work and supporting communities across the region is inspiring. The event is a highlight in the local calendar and a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with members of the public and highlight the vital services we provide.”

Caudwell Children is a national charity providing practical and emotional support for disabled children and their families. Since 2000 the charity has provided services worth over £35million to help thousands of children with over 550 different conditions.

The Bolesworth International Festival takes place on 18th – 21st June, with chart-topping pop rock band Scouting For Girls confirmed for the concert on Saturday 20th.
