Christmas Fun with Grub’s Ambassador Claire Fielding

Grub’s fan Claire Fielding has shed some light on what happens on her yard during the festive season when she isn’t riding all her horses or wearing her Grub’s Rainline Boots working on the yard. Enjoy!

1. What is on your Christmas list this year?

Sovereign horse box with a pop out, would be wonderful!

2. When do you do your Christmas shopping?

Last minute... or online if I'm organised enough, which is extremely rare.

3. Do you do anything on Christmas Eve?

Usually meet friends for drinks in the local pub and have a good catch up.

4. Do you decorate the yard?

I have in the past. When I used to work at a local event yard I took over the job of decorating and it was like Santa's grotto as you rode in! I think I might do mine this year.

 5. Who is looking after your horses this Christmas?

Me! I always do them Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

6. Do you go out for a Christmas hack?

Sometimes if the weather is nice, but it's a good excuse to have a couple of days off.

7. What do you do on Boxing day?

Usually go to the Boxing Day meet. It’s a great way to catch up with everyone.

 8. Do you have any family Christmas traditions?

Not really, but when I'm with my family it's always gammon for tea on Christmas Eve and bubble and squeak on Boxing Day. Yum!

We also make sure we have time for a Christmas day walk for some fresh air. The last few Christmas's I have spent with friends as my family all live quite far away, and it is difficult to see them because I have to do the horses.

Quick Fire!
