Time is ticking on to the 2018 International Eventing Forum, which takes place on the 5th of February at Hartpury College! The Forum brings together some of eventing’s most influential riders, trainers and mentors for an inspirational day of training for success in the sport of eventing. Whether your goal is to complete your first BE90 or you’re aiming for 4* success, the forum is always a fantastic day and is perfect for riders of all grades and levels of ambition.

The morning will start with a session with legendary dressage trainer Sandy Phillips. A member of the US Olympic dressage team, Sandy rode in three World Championships and when she moved to England, became a member of the British Dressage team for the European and World Championships. She is an FEI “3*/4*” Judge for Eventing and an FEI 4*Judge for dressage [including Young Horses] and is much sought after as a trainer by both eventers and pure dressage riders alike.

 Next up to inspire attendees will be IEF co-founder Eric Smiley (FBHS) – an Olympian and 4* competitor who needs little introduction to eventing circles!

 After the lunch break where you can chat with like-minded eventing geeks, renowned performance psychologist Charlie Unwin will give an invaluable presentation on how we can train our minds to better our performance. With sports psychology now widely recognised as a key ingredient in sporting success, Charlie has built a reputation for his specialist experience in helping equestrians accelerate their potential, perform consistently in competition and thrive under pressure.

The key presenter for the highlight afternoon session at IEF 2018 is Fredrik Bergendorff. Fredrik is the new Swedish Event Team manager/coach who steered his team to bronze medal position at the 2017 European Three Day Eventing Championships in Poland. Attendees will enjoy a riveting session where Fredrik will share his vast knowledge and obvious attention to detail that has led to his current position as Head Coach for the Swedish Eventing Team.
