THIS year marks 100 years of the Dales Pony Society and Equifest is delighted to welcome the festivities.

Held at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, August 17 to 21, Equifest is always a fantastic five days of competition, shopping and entertainment.

The Dales Pony Society will host a breed stand throughout the show and there will be a very special Musical Ride Display on the Saturday as part of the evening performance with eight Dales ponies showcasing the fantastic qualities of the breed.

The Dales Pony is a breed well-known for its strength, hardiness, stamina, courage, intelligence, and good temperament.

The history of the modern Dales Pony is strongly linked to the history of lead mining in the Dales area of England, from the Derbyshire Peaks to the Scottish Borders and was originally a working pony descended from a number of breeds.
