Equitex have taken the market by storm with their luxury, equine back care protection in the form of their unique saddle pad. Renowned for their non-slip properties and reducing pressure and impact, they are also a coveted item for their rich velvet fabrics in a wide variety of colours.

To further enhance the collection the designers have launched a beautiful new range for Autumn 2021 celebrating the traditional alpine wool known as Loden.

herring

Loden fabric is a durable, dense, water-repellent, woollen fabric used chiefly for coats, capes, and jackets. Originally worn by farmers and shepherds in the Austrian Alps. Loden coats and jackets have made it onto the designer catwalks, so it’s hardly surprising that uber chic Equitex chose to introduce this beautiful fabric into their collection. Traditionally appropriate for hunting or leisure, Loden coats are usually in hunter green but Loden fabric can be in any traditional colour including navy, beige or charcoal. The fabric is warm, elegant, and functional and when teamed with the other components of the EQUITEX pad you have a seriously stylish and hardwearing equine “must have”.

The underside of the pad is in the trademark beautifully soft,  tech velvet which works with the horse’s coat to stay fixed firmly in place. The Loden topside features the “sticky” heat sealed, graphic grips in a self-colour to help secure the saddle firmly in place.

The new colours are subtle and soft and evoke that alpine countryside feeling. Choose from deep tones of grey, soft aubergine or beige and a beautiful herringbone weave has also been added.

All styles of saddle pad can be made in your choice of any of the Loden fabrics.

Equitex Loden Saddle Pads range start at £269.00
