Tara Keoshgerian, founder of Mochara Equestrian has been shortlisted as ‘Young Business Person of the Year’ with the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards and announced as a finalist for ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ with the Federation of Small Businesses Awards.

This is a huge honour as both awards recognise people and businesses who have shown innovation and inspiration in their work. It is a celebration of their entrepreneurship, creativity, passion and talent.

The Gatwick Diamond Business Awards ‘Young Business Person of the Year’ acknowledges extraordinary young business people, aged 25 and under, who exhibit qualities that inspire their own business and the wider business community.

The Federation of Small Businesses Awards ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ (South East Finalist) is for entrepreneurs aged 30 or under who have achieved a level of business success that belies their age and are passionate for progress.

Tara is delighted with the recognition and comments: “I feel incredibly excited and honoured to have been shortlisted as a finalist for these Young Entrepreneur awards. Having been so involved with Mochara right from the start, I’ve often found it hard to take a step back and appreciate how far the brand has come in such a short space of time. Being shortlisted for these awards has motivated me to continue working hard to achieve my goals. I hope this inspires other young women and encourages them to follow their dreams. The Mochara team are thoroughly looking forward to attending the award ceremonies in March.”

This is a huge boost for the equestrian industry, having one of their own recognised and acknowledged.

Tara launched Mochara clothing in 2019 to the equestrian market and even though this was a “lockdown baby” the brand has gone from strength to strength to be an international success story with distribution recently established in the USA. Turnover is up year on year since inception and the brand has developed to include pieces that not only deliver style and function to equestriennes, but ones that they can also incorporate in all areas of their active lifestyles.
