The Golden Paste Company has made several changes to the business over the last few months to reduce its carbon footprint. The latest change is removing the plastic scoop from the TurmerAid™ tub as a standard metal tablespoon can be used instead.

scoop

TurmerAid™, the complete turmeric pellet for horses, is sold in plastic food grade tubs; these tubs are not made from recycled plastic, but are recyclable and re-usable. Using one and a half level tablespoons to measure out the pellets is the equivalent to one of the scoops that was previously included in the tub.

The Golden Paste Company also use fully recyclable tape with potato starch providing the sticky adhesive and their biodegradable packing peanuts that dissolve in water are also made from potato starch.

Said Sales Manager, Hattie I’Anson: “The Golden Paste Company is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. We take care to recycle and reduce our waste internally, and have applied this thought process to our products and our packaging.”

How much TurmerAid™ do I feed to my horse?
For a 500kg horse/pony 3 tbsp. a day
For smaller ponies (under 300kg) 1.5 tbsp. a day

For larger horses (over 700kg) 4.5 tbsp. a day

(approx. 1.5 level tbsp. = 25g)

Ideally split the daily ration and feed half in the morning and half in the evening.
