There is plenty to see and do at this year’s Westcountry Equine Fair, taking place at Westpoint in Exeter on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd December. Come and join us to celebrate the ‘Best of the West’

Great reasons to attend the Westcountry Equine Fair!

Tim Cheffings – Event Rider will provide a masterclass on Saturday and John Chubb – Dressage on Sunday

Rachel Moast and her team will give a short display (Saturday) on indoor carriage driving – based on horse driving trials. Indoor carriage driving combines the grace and harmony of dressage, the speed and accuracy through the cones with the thrills and excitement of the obstacles.

There will be a breed parade and Heavy Horse display (Saturday) showing the wonderful breeds up close and the majesty of the heavy horse varieties

Cleveland Bays will be providing a side saddle display (Sunday). These horses and riders demonstrate the versatility of the breed and the elegance of the art of side saddle.

Check out the stallion parade to music (Sunday). A display of West Country stallions

Get up-to-date advice in the BETA Equestrian Knowledge Zone: Free hat and body protector checks; nutrition, equine dentist, referral farrier, equine vet, worming and more. Visitors will also be invited to jump aboard Robocob the mechanical horse and fine tune their riding skills

There will be some great competitive events including: The unaffiliated Quadrille competition (Saturday); The Pony Club horse & hound show jumping competition – sponsored by Stags (now on both days) and the Junior Show Jumping competition – sponsored by Redpost Equestrian (Sunday) with the usual mix of excitement and delight. Come along and cheer them on!
