British Showjumping is delighted to welcome Haygain® as the new title sponsor of the well contested Pony Discovery Championship.

The Haygain® Pony Discovery Championship Series is for registered ponies in Grade JD and JC that have not won a total of 300 points and they are to be ridden by a Junior Member. This summer will see eligible rider and pony combinations battle it out for a place in the Championship Final, which will once again take place during the British Showjumping National Championships at the National Agricultural & Exhibition Centre, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire (9th – 14th August 2016).

Haygain® offers a range of scientifically proven hay steamers that eliminates respirable dust in hay and haylage by killing mould spores and bacteria to produce hygienically clean forage and thus aid in the prevention and management of respiratory conditions.

By steaming hay and haylage to ultra-high temperatures, the patented Haygain® steamer produces highly-palatable forage that is fragrant and appetising and - unlike soaking - steaming ensures that the essential nutrients are retained within the hay.

Déborrah Flament, Director of Marketing at Haygain® says "We are honoured to become official sponsors of British Showjumping and the 2016 Pony Discovery Championship. Junior riders are the future of the sport and we are looking forward to enjoying a very exciting and competitive series, culminating with the Championship Final at the Nationals in August!”

Maria Clayton, Head of Communications at British Showjumping, added “We are delighted to be welcoming Haygain® to the sport and are extremely pleased that they will be lending their support to the Pony Discovery Championship. The team at Haygain® are passionate about educating riders on the benefits of steaming and this sponsorship will give them access to junior riders who are enthusiastic about learning.”

Competitors have until the 30th April 2016 to qualify for the Haygain Pony Discovery Second Rounds. The Second Rounds will be held during May – July 2016 and competitors will be vying for that all important place in the Championship Final.
