Horse & Country, the leading international equestrian sports network, is pleased to announce the launch of its live and on demand subscription service, H&C+, on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex platforms in North America.

Programming and live sports coverage

H&C+ brings equestrian sport fans an exciting line-up of live competition coverage, exclusive training and educational shows, entertainment, and documentaries.  Over the coming months, subscribers can enjoy live coverage from events including the CHIO Rotterdam from the Netherlands, the Masters of Chantilly from France including the Rolex Grand Prix and the USEF Junior Hunter National Championships, as well as the Mars Great Meadow International and the ArenaMend Classic 5* from the US later in the year.  Horse & Country exclusive training and learning shows include masterclasses with Georgina Bloomberg and Will Coleman, and horsemanship guru, Monty Roberts.

 App features

H&C+ is packed with enhanced features, including more than 200 days of live streaming per year, a 24/7 linear channel as well as more than 7,500 hours of programming available on demand.  The H&C+ service retails at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.

 Distribution

The launch of H&C+ on Xfinity X1 and Flex represents a key stage in Horse & Country’s development in the American market and substantially expands the audience reach for the Company’s US partners, including US Equestrian, the United States Hunter Jumper Association, and the United States Dressage Federation, among others.

H&C CEO, Heather Killen, said: “Xfinity X1 and Flex are among the most innovative and forward-thinking entertainment platforms in the US.  We are delighted to bring H&C+, our premium subscription service, offering live, linear and on demand equestrian content to millions of Xfinity customers.”

Customers can access H&C+ on X1 and Flex by saying “Horse and Country” into the Xfinity Voice Remote. H&C+ joins a host of other subscription-based streaming services available to Xfinity’s TV customers on X1 and its broadband customers on Flex, a 4K streaming device included with Xfinity Internet that extends the best features of X1 to customers who prefer streaming experiences.

The Xfinity app has been launched through Metrological, a Comcast Company. The app was developed in the LightningTM Software Development Kit (SDK), and is also available for global operators through the Metrological Application Platform. The 24/7 linear stream included in the app is supported by Amagi.
