Horse & Country TV viewers will be able to watch hours of action from this year’s Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials (4th-8th May) on Horse & Country TV. Programming will be available both on the channel and on H&C Play, H&C’s online service, which is also available on smartphone and tablet via apps.

For the first time ever, all 6.5hrs of cross-country action will be exclusively available to watch on-demand on H&C Play from Monday 9th May, the day after Badminton reaches its conclusion and the 2016 champion has been crowned. The coverage will feature expert commentary by Spencer Sturmey and will be produced MBPtv.

In addition to this exclusive cross-country content on H&C Play, the channel will also be showing a number of other Badminton programmes, which will be available, both on Sky (channel 253) and on H&C Play. This year’s Badminton Course Walk, featuring presenter Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes and four-star rider Harry Meade, premieres on Thursday 14th April, giving viewers a real insight into the challenges that this year’s Badminton field will face.

A 5hr highlights show, again featuring extensive cross-country coverage plus the final showjumping rounds and the prize giving, will run at 10am and again at 6pm on Sunday 15th May; and, for those looking for a short, sharp overview, our 1hr highlights show, featuring all three disciplines will premiere on Wednesday 18th May at 9pm.

And for all the behind the scenes action and up close interviews with the key players, H&C’s Jenny Rudall will be there to film Rudall’s Round-Up from Badminton, which you can catch at 8.30pm on Monday 16th May.

“We know how important Badminton is to our viewers, and we’re delighted to be able to offer such extensive cross country coverage to H&C Play subscribers so soon after the event” says Richard Burdett, Managing Director of Horse & Country. “There’s an exceptionally strong field this year, and we know that Badminton will make for superb television viewing, as always.”

In addition to H&C’s Badminton programming, there will also be full news coverage and exclusive video content available on horseandcountry.tv throughout the world’s most famous four-star event.
