Together we can beat Strangles by improving biosecurity for our horses and being more open and supportive of each other.

During this year’s Strangles Awareness Week (3-9 May), we’ve been hearing people’s wisdom on Strangles management and prevention through the Strangles Awareness Week podcast. In this episode global horse shipping expert, Chris Burke of International Racehorse Transport , explains why the same rules apply whether working with high value horses as with happy hacks when disease risk is concerned.

We then hear from Julie Magnus of Julie Magnus Racehorse Transport, who advocates for better biosecurity across yards to help transporters and transport businesses keep disease risk low.
