Intrepid staff at Oswestry agricultural suppliers JFC Agri are once again pulling on their lycra as they launch a second marathon cycle ride raising funds for RABI and RDA in August.
Last year the team completed the ride all the way from their plant in Galway to the finish line in Oswestry. This year they will add a further 100 miles to the trip covering 300 miles in three days over three countries, taking in the Irish Atlantic coast before cycling to Dublin, crossing to Holyhead and tackling the rigours of Snowdonia on the final day.
Joining them on the ride, will be JFC customers, friends and supporters of the two charities.

Sue Taylor, Head of Sales at JFC said, “Last year’s event was a real success and great fun, so we opted to go bigger and better this year. An extra day, an extra hundred miles in glorious Ireland makes this a significant endurance challenge, but we will start and finish as a team with JFC support crew backing us up throughout, and hope to raise a substantial sum for our two chosen charities.”
“We are more than proud to support two such important causes as RABI and RDA – each performing vital work particularly in the agricultural and equestrian sectors where we know so many people. With the growing awareness of mental health issues affecting farmers and rural communities in general, it seemed fitting to support both charities.”

The event will take place between the 15th – 17th August, with riders being transported out to Galway before heading homewards with overnight stops in Tuam and Holyhead.
Taylor adds we have 12 riders completing the 300 miles with a further 7 riders joining for the UK leg which makes this one of the friendliest endurance challenges you will find anywhere. It may be the only ride where you end up knowing every participant by name!”
