Kate Negus Saddlery is delighted to announce the sponsorship of Wiltshire based para and able bodied showjumper Toby Bevins.

Toby recently finished third in the pairs class at the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships at Aintree EC on his 15 year old gelding Askan Van Overis. This is a huge achievement for anyone, let alone a rider who suffers from an extreme form of epilepsy…and suffered a seizure 20 minutes before completing his round at the competition. Previously, Toby won the Horsezone.co.uk National Para Equestrian Open Championship, qualified for the 1m 10 National Amateur Championships, won his grade and the Open Para class at the Scope Festival and regularly represents Wiltshire in the BS Area Team.

“I’ve known Toby forever as my daughter was at Pony Club with him,” says Julia Andrews from Kate Negus Saddlery. “I’ve followed him with interest and have been impressed by his achievements and his dedication to the sport, so when we were approached about whether we’d like to sponsor him, it wasn’t a hard decision to make. Toby was already a Kate Negus fan and customer, so we know he ‘gets’ what we’re all about, which is so important. We’re really excited to be working with him and look forward to following him and supporting him.”

“As a para and able bodied showjumper, I am ecstatic to be sponsored by Kate Negus,” says Toby. “I have always liked the company’s brand of top quality leatherwork, in fact, I have had one bridle and breastplate for nine years! It’s really great to have gained this support. I’m really grateful.”
