Each year the Main Arena at Your Horse Live is the place to see equestrian royalty demonstrate their skills and knowledge, however this November a new king will take centre stage!

Luma the Lion, an eight-year-old Shetland pony, imaginatively disguised as a lion, is set to dazzle and delight visitors with his unique act at this year’s two-day equestrian extravaganza.

Having become a big star on the continent and appearing at major shows and events, Luma and his trainer Mélie Philippot will make their first trip to Your Horse Live.

The pair has worked together since Luma was three-years-old and the connection between the two is clear to see.

Together they display a wonderful combination of liberty work and dressage movements with light comedy to create a funny, yet magnificently skilful performance.

Even with his brilliant disguise, Luma’s love for performing and huge personality really shines through, guaranteeing he’ll charm both young and old.  His athletic ability is pretty impressive too.  This little man walks on his back legs and even jumps through hoops!

This fabulous act is definitely a performance not to be missed so be sure to catch Luma and Mélie in the Main Arena on Saturday and Sunday.

Your Horse Live takes place at Stoneleigh Park on November the 8 and 9.
