Leading competition venue Keysoe Equestrian Centre and Martin Collins Enterprises are delighted to announce their partnership for the forthcoming competition seasons. Martin Collins Enterprises are now the official surface supplier for Keysoe.

Keysoe in Bedfordshire have invested heavily into their facilities over recent months and upgraded each of their arenas with Martin Collins to offer competitors the best surfaces available. Recognising that competitions need to be able to run whatever the weather, the decision to install Martin Collins Ecotrack on the International Arena ensures that freezing or very hot/dry conditions won’t affect the going. This was recently put to test when January temperatures dropped to minus 6 and they could still run their dressage competition with arenas being perfect at 9am in the morning!

The indoor and outdoor competition arenas are all Martin Collins Ecotrack. This is a competition grade, hard wearing surface, perfect for international events of all disciplines. It is a blend of many components with a wax coating giving exceptional durability and energy return. The surface was developed to meet the needs of all types of competition from dressage to show jumping and even extreme carriage driving.

The outdoor all-weather training arena is a Martin Collins un waxed sand and CLOPF synthetic fibre surface. It has excellent moisture retaining qualities and was the perfect choice for this arena which has irrigation facilities.

Martin Collins are also delighted that they will be one of the sponsors at the centre, for the forthcoming international shows this year, helping put something back into the sport.

“Working with Simon and the team at Keysoe has been great. They understand that riders want to compete on the best surfaces as they affect the horse’s way of going. Many of the international riders expect the best from a venue and won’t bring their horses if the going is sub standard. Ecotrack has been proven worldwide to perform and last for years so Keysoe’s commercial decision to invest in the future is a very wise one!” commented Ali Howe, Sales and Marketing Manager, Martin Collins Enterprises.

Keysoe owner Simon Bates is delighted with the arenas and the positive effect it has had on competition entries as well as bookings for arena hire.

“Being able to offer every level of rider the best conditions for their horse or pony is essential for Keysoe. It’s great that we are having such positive feedback from the riders and the various disciplines that use our venue. Be it an international competition under FEI rules or the local Pony Club we have a duty of care to every horse which we take very seriously. It has been a large investment to upgrade the surfaces but in my mind it’s worth every penny.

The first International dressage competition at Keysoe will be the CDI3*/CDIY/CDIJ/CDIP from 17th– 19th March. The Martin Collins team will be on hand to present prizes and rosettes to the winners of their sponsored class. They will also offer advice to riders who are interested in having their own arena upgraded, replaced or installed.
