Mary and Emily King Head to HorseFestTHE Summer Festival for Horse Lovers!

Eventing legend Mary King and her talented daughter Emily, who has quickly established herself at the top of the sport, are heading to HorseFest – THE summer festival for horse lovers.

Held at Weston Park in Shropshire, July 23 to 25, 2021, HorseFest is for all those horse fans with an interest in the equine world, allowing them to come together, learn, celebrate, have fun and create special memories.

You can camp or ‘glamp’ during the event to fully embrace the outdoors, experience festival life and feel part of the HorseFest tribe, or if sleeping under canvas isn’t your thing, you can add a touch of luxury to your weekend and stay in the magnificent Weston Park House or one of its stunning cottages.

A winner of countless major championships around the globe, Mary is highly regarded all over the world for her production and training skills when it comes to nurturing her team of horses, often home-bred, from just starting out to international level.

Without doubt, Emily, in following in Mary’s footsteps, has inherited that talent and is now very much a force to be reckoned with on the eventing circuit.

Said Mary: “We are really looking forward to HorseFest next summer.  It is set to be a fantastic event and something to smile about.”

“There is so much going on with many of the horse world’s leading names putting together demonstrations and talks.”

“Both Emily and I will be riding and chatting about our training methods and what we look for in a young horse as we set out on the journey to hopefully producing a star of the future.”

Heidi of HorseFest continued “Mary is a rider and competitor we have all looked up to over the years and working alongside Emily, with her team of talented horses, we are sure their demonstration will prove a big hit.”

The event promises a packed line-up that includes a variety of interactive and inclusive performances and demonstrations from top riders and experts across all areas of the equestrian world, allowing HorseFest festivalgoers to learn and develop their own knowledge in an inspirational and caring environment.

On the demonstration front there are a host of top names already signed up.  As well as Mary and Emily, presenter and event rider Jonty Evans and his Olympic ride, Cooley Rorkes Drift will also be attending.

Grand Prix dressage riders Steph Croxford and Sam Turner; action man and classical dressage rider, Ben Atkinson; eventer turned show jumper, Jay Halim; performance psychologist Charlie Unwin and natural horseman Jason Webb; and Gillian Higgins of Horses Inside Out are just some of the names heading to Weston Park.

At night, unwind, relax or dance the night away with the live music and entertainment or get involved with fun quizzes as you treat yourself to a drink or two!
