There’s a real treat in store for eventing fans coming up on Horse & Country (H&C) with two five-star events in quick succession. From the 13th to the 17th October every phase of the inaugural Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, including the trot-up, will be live on H&C’s streaming service, H&C+. And, from 27th to the 31st October, H&C will return to the South of France for Les 5 Étoiles de Pau, an event that always attracts a world-class field.

There are just seven five-star events in the world and the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill is the latest addition to this elite group. As such it’s no surprise that it has attracted an exceptional field of US eventers including Olympians Phillip Dutton and Boyd Martin, and well-known figures to H&C viewers, Will Faudree and Will Coleman. There’s also a strong international contingent including the world’s top-ranked rider, Oliver Townend, Zara Phillips, Harry Meade, Tim Price, Jonelle Price and Olympic gold medalist, Leslie Law.

Later in the month, H&C will be back at Pau where Laura Collett so memorably won in 2020. With 20 nations represented last year despite lockdown, Les 5 Étoiles is sure to attract some of the world’s top combinations. In addition to covering the eventing, H&C will also live stream the spectacular CAIO4* Carriage Driving which features three separate disciplines: Dressage, Marathon and Cones.

H&C Director of Content, Jonathan Rippon, said, “We’re delighted to bring our viewers two such prestigious events in quick succession. In 2021 we’ve live-streamed more three-day events than ever before and we’re looking forward to cementing H&C’s position as the home of eventing in 2022 with even more coverage.”

H&C’s coverage from Pau is exclusive worldwide, whilst Maryland is exclusive outside of North America, where fans can watch on USEF Network.

H&C+ members can watch the live streams either at horseandcountry.tv or on the H&C apps, which can be downloaded from the iOS and Android app stores. And of course, with a streaming device such as Apple TV, Roku or Amazon Fire, you can cast to your Smart TV for the big screen experience. Membership is £5.99 a month with no contract required.

And, for those unable to watch live, all the action will be available to watch on demand the following day, exclusively for members.
