Moreton Morrell College in Warwickshire is moving its next open day for prospective animal, equine and veterinary degree students online this Saturday, 5 December following the introduction of new localised coronavirus restrictions.

The internationally-recognised 750-acre countryside campus is part of WCG (formerly Warwickshire College Group) and is home to its land-based subjects, with degree-level courses and specialist facilities for anyone considering a career with horses, animals, in vet nursing or vet physiotherapy.

Visitors joining online on Saturday will be able to speak live to subject experts about their land-based degree courses from September 2021, as well as hear from the Dean of Higher Education and Subject Leaders via pre recorded videos and take an online video tour of the campus at the open event between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Steve Taylor, Dean of Higher Education at WCG, said: “The early UCAS application deadline for students is 15 January 2021, so this a good opportunity to chat to us live and find out more about life at Moreton Morrell College, before that deadline.

“We held successful face-to-face open events in September and October in line with COVID-secure guidance which saw prospective degree students travel from across the country to explore the campus, including visitors from Cornwall and Bristol.

“We had planned to welcome even more students to the college for this Saturday’s event, but unfortunately the new local restrictions mean that is not possible so we’re offering an online experience instead.

“We may have one further ‘in person’ event at Moreton Morrell in mid-January if restrictions allow it, so please keep an eye on the website for more details.”
