THE recent Harthill Stud Breeding Seminar saw the launch of a brand new Elite Sport Horse Auction.

It will be the first time that an auction has been combined with an International Showjumping show in the UK, and the unique concept of auctioning sport horse yearlings was endorsed by the panel of experts at the seminar, as an exciting new development to promote international trade between the UK and the rest of the World.

The Elite Auction is to be held on Friday 19th June at this year’s Bolesworth CSI4* International Show, (17th - 21st June, 2015) at Bolesworth Castle near Chester. The Auction is open to all, and will be an exclusive opportunity to purchase elite yearlings selected from leading producers and breeders in the UK and mainland Europe.

Nina Barbour, Bolesworth International Organiser and founder of the Bolesworth Elite Auction, announced: “We are aiming to create the atmosphere associated with some of the top European sport horse sales.

“Similar auctions in the UK have attracted negative press and we are very aware that we have one chance to prove that we can achieve unprecedented standards and levels of transparency with our auction in order to fulfil our ambition of becoming the leading elite sport horse sale in the UK.”

There will be a maximum of 12 yearlings entered into the auction from leading producers including Harthill Stud, The Billy Stud, Dutch Sport Horse Sales, Ashford Farm Sport Horses and Eric Levallois.

The yearlings will be available for viewing at the showground until 5pm on Friday, June 19, 2015 with the official viewing taking place in the International Arena at 2pm.

The auction will take place during the Gala Evening following the conclusion of the Puissance and Goffs Auctioneer, Andrew Nolan will be auctioning off the elite yearlings.

This very special evening will also feature comedian Bobby Davro, live music entertainment, a three-course dinner and drinks reception.

Limited VIP tables are available with a chance to dine with a VIP guest. Three-course dinner and all drinks are included.

Standard show day tickets allow entry to the Hospitality Marquee for the auction with a full bar service available.

VIP Table tickets are priced at £150, Evening Hospitality tickets are priced at £66 and Advanced Show Day tickets are priced at £12.00.

Catalogues, videos and photos of the yearlings will be available to view online from June 1, 2015.
