Equestrian enthusiasts and equines alike are going to fall in love with Collective Equestrian - a brand new livery and training centre in Chew Magna, Somerset – which celebrates its official launch on Sunday 14th February 2016.
The superb equestrian venue will be running an open house on Sunday 14th, inviting anyone who might be interested to view at first hand the extensive state of the art facilities on offer, as well as providing an opportunity to meet the talented team of equestrian professionals behind the business. Over £100,000 has gone into improving the stabling in recent weeks with a further investment cycle planned for the spring to improve the turnout and going on the land itself. There are now over thirty Monarch stables on site within covered barns. With over thirty acres dedicated to equine turnout, the team are able to offer year round turn out except in the wettest of conditions. While most yards will often separate the private competition horses from their clients’ rides, Collective Equestrian already treat each horse as an equal with no discernible difference between the care for their own and their clients’ horses. That the main team live on site either in the house or in the staff wing attests to the fact that this is a home as well as a business. This advantage is very much conveyed around the whole site from the daily breakfast to the bay trees outside the stables.
Led by International Grand Prix dressage rider Jonny Clarke-West, Collective Equestrian delivers quality training and impeccable first class care (for both horse and rider) to the local dressage community. Whether it is a bespoke full livery package, or simply private tuition with a highly qualified dressage trainer, the staff at the centre are committed to ensuring that horse and rider harness their full potential whilst always maximizing enjoyment of the sport. Collective Equestrian takes pride in creating an atmosphere which is supportive and encouraging yet also challenging and engaging to ensure all pupils evolve their skills and can chart real progress in terms of their riding and competitive prospects.
Commenting on the venture, Jonny added that “it is pretty clear that horses and riders work better if there are others with similar competitive aspirations around them. We’d like to develop a pocket of competitive riders based at our yard who can thrive on the atmosphere.”
The open day begins at 10am on Sunday 14th February and will feature a ‘welcome tour’, demonstrations with the Collective Equestrian team, short talks from a top saddle fitter, equine nutritionist and vet on condition scoring the competition and riding horse. A complimentary lunch and on the house wine tasting will also be included. Tickets are £5 and must be reserved in advance. All proceeds will go towards the charity Horse World (www.horseworld.org.uk)
