SMB College Group has announced a fantastic set of results for the 850 students collecting their Level 3 grades this morning.

100% of students across Brooksby, Melton and Stephenson Campuses passed their qualifications, with 68% attaining the very highest grades in their respective studies – well above the national average of 45%.

Curriculum areas with particularly high numbers of students achieving DDM or above include:

  • 90% of Animal Management learners at Brooksby
  • 88% of Sport students at Brooksby
  • 88% of Health and Social Care students at Melton and Stephenson
  • 80% of Equine Management learners at Brooksby
  • 75% of Agriculture students at Brooksby

“We’re so proud of all our learners, whatever their results today. All Colleges have experienced a second challenging and disruptive academic year, which makes these achievements even more special.” said Principal Dawn Whitemore.

SMB College group offers a wide variety of Level 3 subjects – equivalent to 3 A-Levels - across its three campuses in Leicestershire, covering the land-based, sport, care, creative, technical and trade industries – all of which are receiving their results today. Level 2 students can expect their results on Thursday.

The College Group also offers a range of university degree subjects, offering progression routes for many of their current Level 3 students. Subjects include Performing Arts, Animal Management, Equine, Sport, Construction and Engineering with places available through UCAS Clearing to start in September 2021.

All three campuses are also still accepting Level 2 and Level 3 applications for the next academic year.
