Matchmakers International, the home of iconic brands including Harry Hall, Caldene, Cottage Craft, Masta and Tottie, is delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Duff as a Non- Executive Director with effect from today, 1st May 2014.

 With over 30 years’ experience in the equestrian industry, most recently as Managing Director of Ariat Europe, Phil has an outstanding record with leading equestrian and country lifestyle brands. His entrepreneurial skills helped establish Ariat as the number one footwear brand in the UK and Eire and he was instrumental in the growth of the company into Europe and beyond.

 Both Edward Wakefield and Oliver Hoare, Co-Chairmen of Matchmakers International are looking forward to welcoming Phil to the team. “We are absolutely delighted that Phil has agreed to join the Matchmakers Board,” says Edward. “His knowledge, relationships and experience will be invaluable as, with the benefit of new investment, Matchmakers continues its renewed focus on outstanding product, great brands and first class customer service.”

 As a past chairman of BETA, Phil will bring a wealth of expertise to his role. “Matchmakers represent a family of iconic brands that are steeped in tradition and history,” he comments. “I am looking forward to influencing their return to prominence in the market, both in the UK and further afield. There is determination, energy and vision amongst the new team here and I am confident that they can exceed expectation at every level.”
