Polly Shaw and Why Not Fado scored a great win in the Voltaire Design sponsored CSI-Am-A Platinum Two Phase at the Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championships.

Based in Hertfordshire, Polly runs a vehicle recovery business and rides when work and time allow.

A regular at Bolesworth International and Liverpool International, Polly was delighted with the 12-year-old mare she has owned for nine months.

Said Polly: “We contested two shows in the run up to travelling to Cheshire after a bit of time off following a busy early season.  I have brought three horses and we are having a great time.”

Laura Jackson and Gloria galloped into second place with Gemma Wright and Cool Boy finishing third in the Castle Arena competition.

In the CSI-Am-A Bronze, sponsored by Equerry Horse Feeds, the winning round went to Ronnie Jones and Premier Diamond.

Based in Essex, Ronnie was making his first visit to Bolesworth and heaped praise on the 10-year-old mare he jointly owns with Sue Hume.

Added Ronnie: “We bought Premier Diamond very reasonably and she is a real fun horse and great against the clock.

“When we saw her we immediately liked her and she has proved a great buy.  Our plan is to eventually breed from her.”

In second place was Jennifer Thompson with Britannicus and coming home third was Polly Shaw once again with the grey, Golden Grove Ait A.
