Press accreditation for Horse of the Year Show 2019 is now open. This year’s Show will take place at the Resorts World Arena, Birmingham’s NEC from the 2nd – 6th October and hosts a line-up of National and International Showjumping Classes, Dressage and a multitude of top class Showing Championships as well as crowning of two Supreme Championship titles. Press accreditation will close on Monday 19th August, thereafter, applicants whose accreditation has been accepted will be sent details of how to collect their passes at the show. Please be aware that applicants may also be asked to email a passport size head and shoulders photograph to the Press Office as part of their accreditation. On the HOYS website there is a secure login area for press to access media resources such as press releases, images and archived results.

This year, aside from the five days of non-stop competition, we are delighted to be welcoming some fantastic displays as part of our action packed timetable. ‘Lorenzo: The Flying Frenchman’ is set to thrill audiences with his exceptional bond with his horses, balancing on their backs as they perform intricate movements and take on fences. French performer Mélie Philippot and her dancing duo (Quizas and Diego) will be making their UK debut of the display ‘My Little Sister’, combining liberty work and dressage movements with a little light comedy in this thoroughly entertaining performance; a perfect interlude to the nail-biting competition!

New for 2019 is the Showjumping Masterclass with Graham Fletcher and Family, and fellow Olympian Emile Faurie will be hosting the HOYS Dressage Masterclass on Thursday. Returning to the Andrews Bowen International arena this year will be the Osbourne Refrigerators Double Harness Scurry, as well as the always entertaining Pony Club Games. The show will come to a close on Sunday night with an exciting line up of entertainment to be announced over the coming weeks.

The Retail Village which comprises of over 250 trade stands, plays host to the HOYS Live Zone with an interactive line-up of talks and meet and greet opportunities from industry experts, along with the addition of a new for 2019 HOYS Champagne Bar.
