Ranch Rider’s popular ‘Win A Ranch Holiday’ competition is back - the prize worth over £3,500! One lucky winner will have the chance to saddle up with a partner on a working ranch holiday in 2017.
Entries are now being accepted on the Ranch Rider website and visitors attending this year's Great Yorkshire Horse Show or Your Horse Live will be able to complete a competition form on the tour operator’s stand.
The prize includes a six night stay (excluding flights) for two people at the award winning Colorado Cattle Company. Geared up for greenhorns and experienced riders, the ‘adult only’ working ranch is Ideal for anyone who is searching for their inner John Wayne or Calamity Jane. Many of the cowhands are members of the (PRCA) Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the (NCHA) National Cutting Horse Association - the team of expert wranglers often teaching guests how to rope a rope a steer in just one week! A Western dream come true, there are daily opportunities to work the 800-strong herd, seasonal cattle drives and lessons in horsemanship, team penning, barrel racing and roping are available at the Cowboy School. Off the trail, guests can kick back in true ‘city slicker’ comfort as the facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and saloon.
