World Class Young Riders Head to  Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championship

Many of Britain’s rising stars are set to compete at the new Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championship Show.

With a prestigious Under 25 Series running - the show has attracted a stellar list of the country’s leading young riders including Alfie Bradstock, Jack Whitaker and Emily Whiteside to name just a few.

Sponsored by John Oates Horseboxes, the Under 25 classes offer a £6,000 prize fund with the Championship taking place on the late Saturday afternoon.

A host of high-class showjumping and equestrian sport will take place over the five days – August 14 to 18 in the stunning grounds of Bolesworth Castle – and the event will provide a fantastic day out for equestrian sport enthusiasts

Also running is the Children on Horses series which has gained a fantastic following in recent years as young riders gain experience riding horses at an early age in a competition environment.

The classes are a great way for younger riders, at the age of 16, to prepare for moving onto horses, whilst competing alongside riders of a similar age.

Two qualifiers are being held on the Wednesday and Friday with the final taking place on the Sunday afternoon.

Said Bolesworth Managing Director, Nina Barbour: “We are delighted to host these prestigious classes for younger riders.

“They are always fiercely competitive, and we are looking forward to some top class action over the five days featuring many of our very best riders in the country.”

A feast of classes are also running at CSI-Amateur level with 1.15m and 1.25m competitions leading to the prestigious finals supported by Equerry Horse Feeds and Voltaire Design.

A £3,600 prize pot will feature throughout the competitions with the leading amateurs keen to take the major spoils.

Entries for the show are now open and filling fast for what promises to be an event to remember in the Cheshire sporting calendar.

The Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championships, will incorporate the Official British Showjumping Young Horse Championships and qualifiers for the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) Championships, held at Lanaken in September.

These will run alongside CSI** and CSIAm International classes with the young horses all having the chance to experience jumping in the amphitheatre-style International Arena with the atmosphere of a true world-class competition.

Other highlights of the show will include the second leg of Bolesworth’s new Eventing Grand Prix series, an Elite Stallion Showcase, and two new Elite Auctions. Tickets are now on sale at just £5 with free parking, when booked in advance online, giving event goers the chance to watch superb competition in an iconic setting or why not enjoy the show from the fantastic setting of hospitality complete with evening entertainment, premium bars and superb viewing.
