After winning Olympic gold and Badminton in the past 12 months, eventing hero, Laura Collett, is without doubt on top of the world.

And in a special episode of Rudall Rides With, presenter Jenny Rudall gets the lowdown on Laura’s rollercoaster journey as they highlight this summer’s BHS Ride Out UK campaign, backed by Horse & Country.

The Ride Out UK initiative is a celebration of the joys of hacking whilst also raising money to improve off-road access for riders.

The aim is to help to ensure rider safety and -- let's face it -- who better to go for a hack with in the glorious Gloucester countryside than the brilliant Laura Collett.

After riding out with Laura, Jenny chats to her back at the yard about the pleasures of hacking and how lucky she is to ride on a private estate that is off-road.

Laura rides the awe-inspiring London 52 (Dan) with Jenny taking a hack on Outback II (Ozzy) as they hack out across the wonderful Salperton Estate.

They chat about Laura’s career from 2019 onwards, from her fantastic win at Boekelo to the challenges of Covid.

In this fascinating insight, Jenny and Laura lead on to talk through her first 5* win in Pau and on to the Olympics in Tokyo and that ‘oh so special’ gold medal.

Discussing what Laura learned from those career highlights, Jenny delves deeper into what she took from those moments that helped her secure her first Badminton win earlier this year.

In a look around her idyllic yard and base, Jenny also gets to meet Mr Bass (Chuck) in the field, while Laura is honest and charming throughout as she shares the truly special bond she has forged with Dan to make him the horse he is today.
