SEIB Core Insurance

2023 marks a poignant year for SEIB Insurance Brokers (SEIB), as they celebrate their diamond anniversary and the launch of a brand-new cost-effective horse insurance policy, SEIB Core Horse Insurance.

As fellow horse owners, understanding their clients and the issues they face is one thing that sets SEIB apart and why the equestrian teams understand the increased financial pressures many horse owners are facing.

SEIB Core Horse Insurance policy has been developed to lower premium prices by providing Vet Fees cover for accidental external injuries only as well as providing a range of other key covers.

The policy, which is available for horses over 30 days old and has some limits on activities covered, includes:

Death (from an accident or external injury), Theft and Straying cover

Accidental External Injury only Vet Fees cover - up to £3,000 per claim (excesses apply)

Optional Emergency Colic Surgery cover - up to £5,000 per claim for horses aged under 15 (excesses apply)

  • Tack & Saddlery - up to £1,000 per claim included as standard.
  • Personal Accident benefit up to £10,000 per claim
  • Public Liability up to £2 million per incident
  • Dental Treatment up to £750 per claim
  • Rescue Fees - up to £1,000 per claim
  • Disposal Fees - up to £175 per claim
  • Farewell Cover - up to £50 per claim
  • Legal Expenses cover – up to £50,000 per claim

Additional Extras

SEIB are also giving potential clients the chance to add optional extras to this new Core insurance policy. Such as increase the horses' sum insured to £10,000, add optional emergency colic surgery up to £5,000 per claim and tack cover up to £5,000 per claim. Please note excesses apply to additional extras.
